Help Genesis Camila become the next Disney Princess
Genesis Camila Suero has recently been declared by many as the Met Gala Cinderella. Behind that pseudonym, there is a fascinating and inspiring story worth telling, and what better than from the hand of Walt Disney World.
Genesis was born in Barahona, Dominican Republic; she moved to the United States with her father at thirteen years old. At the age of fifteen, Genesis worked two jobs while going to school to provide for herself and her mother, who at the time was in her native country.
Despite the long working hours and her studies, Genesis did not stop dreaming, and in doing so, her aspirations to become a model only grew. Genesis participated in many beauty pageants; however, in 2018, she was crowned as Miss New York USA, a significant accomplishment for Genesis because it was one of her many dreams that came true. She used her title to encourage immigrants across the United States to work hard to achieve their dreams and aspirations. While fulfilling her role as Miss New York USA, she combined her job as a Real State agent to assist others in becoming homeowners.
In 2021, Genesis auditioned for the Spanish language Television Network Univision's reality show and beauty pageant Nuestra Belleza Latina winning third place. Her success and connection with the public were so powerful that she was immediately offered a job at the Spanish Language Broadcast Network Telemundo as a correspondent for their show En Casa con Telemundo.
Since working for Telemundo, Genesis has delivered updates and news on current happening within New York City and its people. Although, it was when she covered the Met Gala that she surprised the fans of the major fashion event with her white and gold ball gown. Genesis caused such an impact that many fans and attendees were in disbelief that she was a reporter rather than a celebrity guest on the red carpet. The uncertainty of not knowing who the hermetic woman was caused the attendees and viewers called her names such as “The Met Gala Cinderella” and “Disney Princess,” not knowing that they were not far from the truth. Genesis evolution over the years is a true fairytale story.
Please help me sign this petition as Genesis has earned her way to become the next Afro-Latina Princess from Disney.
