Petition update
All Walrus Visitors Require and Deserve Protection and Legislation
Jan 3, 2023 —
Once again Thor our most recent walrus visitor has surfaced - this time in Scarborough and then further North. We hope he is going to continue heading in the right direction. If this most recent walrus heads towards certain locations he is currently at a similar risk to that of Freya, and of course the same goes for future walrus.
Whilst 4.5 months have now passed since Freya's life was dramatically cut short, our campaign still remains to ensure protection of these animals and with this in mind we are proactively continuing to share this petition and raise awareness and a groundswell of support before we find ourselves in a reactive position having to defend the life of another walrus.
Happily Scarborough and Blyth authorities worked closely with BDMLR volunteers and other organisations to protect Thor and we are grateful for all their efforts...
THE RESPONSE MIGHT NOT BE SO FAVOURABLE IN OTHER LOCATIONS
We ask that you please - READ, SIGN and SHARE this petition once more. We understand that these type of petitions need to be shared multiple times before building the momentum required to demonstrate a collective voice and we appreciate your efforts in helping us do this.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
