Why this petition matters

We all know how Covid affected everyone all over the world We are still in recovering phase in India. Lots of business got closed and lots of people lost their livelihood.

Today I have encountered a very serious problem regarding the education system in our country. Since so many of people lost their jobs, a large no of lower class families in India had to take their children out of school as they were not able to pay the fees.

Now once the economy and jobs are recovering slowly, these parents are going back to schools for filling up admission forms. But here we have a new problem, most of the private  and semi govt schools have made out this rule that they will not take admission of a student if there is any gap in schooling even if it is during COVID. A very close family I know, has been trying to get admission in the National Capital Delhi's different schools but they have simply rejected giving the admission forms since the child has not attended school last year.

This is a very unfortunate and heartless rule by the schools, who are simply not caring about poor students who had to suffer due to pandemic.

This petition requests that a law should be immediately made to restrict such monopoly by school administrations. Every child has a right to education and they should not be suffering atleast now after a whole pandemic.

Please sign this and share this as much as possible. This will affect so many families.
