I would like to encourage people to petition alongside me in influencing Hastings borough council in using a free space to build a centre that can benefit the residents of Hastings. Today scrolling through Facebook I have noticed a post on Hastings observer that states how crime rates and violent attacks are rapidly increasing in Hastings. It was originally suggested a premier inn was built in the free space by Whitbread plc. However other people have objected to it. But I believe that there is people who are qualified going to waste, and a whole generation of youth that can be saved. I believe this space should be used to create a centre that focuses on mental health and therapy/councilling. Most of the crimes and violent attacks are from the youth of the town. And there has been generations of children who are from broken homes and this behaviour reflects it. I beleive that this generation of youth has a lot of underlying mental health problems and there is not enough space/time/people to help. I believe a change in our small town society can start from this. I’ve had enough of hearing stories of child abuse, women going missing, people being stabbed and attacked, theft and drug misuse. If you would like a change to be made so our children can potentially grow up a lot safer, if you would like to walk around at night feeling a little safer, and if you would like to have less anxiety about ongoing issues then please petition with me to help improve the minds of our younger generation and anyone else that may need it.
