Keep the rec safe

The community of Faversham would like to keep the recreation park safe by installing security camera's, better lighting with a possibility of a park warden (community officers)
In the last few years there has been constant aggro at the rec, this includes, two stabbings, children being robbed and threats with violence. All the children that have been victims to these horrendous attacks have been innocent children that just want to be able to play in their local park.
The impact it has had personally on my family is, my children can no longer play in their local park or even walk home from their school as the route includes the recreation ground!
We as a community are worried and scared for the wellbeing and future of our children. We should be able to feel safe to let our children play at the park, walk our dogs, ride our bikes, enjoy the company of other families with out feeling anxious and scared, resulting in a community avoiding the rec.
The recreation ground has just had a one million pound grant from the lottery. They have renervated the two play parks, leveled and widened the pathways, planted new plants, renervated the rugby club and football changing rooms, introduced a new outdoor gym, new benches and picnic areas.
We are missing out and need your help. Please sign our petition if you would like to start enjoying our recreation ground.
Make Faversham safe for our children!
