Object to the proposed restrictions on parking in Canal Street and School Street Roseville

Dudley Council have proposed a limit on parking of 2 hours or 3 hours with no return during the day on both the Canal Street and School Street car parks in Roseville High Street.
Signatures are required in order for a formal objection to be made against this preventing commuters and long-term users of the car park from being penalised for using the service currently available. The argument being that the car parks are vital to commuters as they assist with the already overcrowded parking near residential properties, waste land and on the designated car parks provided. If this restriction was implicated it would only cause further annoyance to the local area and may result in complaints from residents who feel that they are too being put at disadvantage due to this action taken by the council.
Another point I would like to add would be that already the car park opposite Canal Street has a restriction imposed, which is never filled at any point during the day, highlighting clearly the need for car parking that serves the high street as the majority of shoppers/users of these facilities are local to the area and will either walk or take a shorter bus journey.
