Restore the Jester Pub to a community facility

1) The Jester was built in 1958 as the direct result of a residents' petition;
2) A local community facility is still required, especially for carers of elderly/disabled relatives, who only have a small window of opportunity to go out for brief respite;
3) Community facilities such as a family friendly pub restaurant with garden, and retail units e.g. for GP surgery, vet, laundrette etc would enhance the area much more than a housing development, and would create local jobs, as well as help reduce the crime rate by keeping the area busy after dark.
It's time to add value to the people who matter and enrich our lives for the better. We need to bring people together and help to restore the community spirit.
