Mental Health Crisis in Iowa
0 have signed. Let’s get to 2,500!
Mental Health in Iowa has fallen in the recent years. Governor Branstad has shut down our mental health hospitals. The Governor signed a 1.9 billion dollar spending bill, he then did not favor or approve of the legislation supporting to keep Mt. Pleasant open until a private company could purchase it. We have two Mental Health facilities in all of Iowa we have a population of 3.1 million people. There simply are not enough service providers, hospitals, staff, and support in our state to address our mental health crisis. Iowa is a state of crisis and our representatives must do something to fix this. In efforts to get our elected officials to fix and address these issues we must speak up and let them know that Iowans come first.
