We are not allowed to go back and forth during Proctored Lock Down Browser  Exams and Quizzes. It is a huge concern for us as we lose points and can't go back to correct. In addition, it increases anxiety because now we are forced to be stuck on questions we may be drawing a blank out for the moment instead of having the ability of skip and returning to it at a later time. It increases the student's anxiety to  then rush through what may be unknown and is yet to come which at times are the easier questions at the end.

As students we are taught strategics when taking exams, (1)  look through the exam at least twice before beginning to calm down nerves (2) mark things we know when reviewing a second time (3) then go through it one last time again and focus on what's left which mostly are the hard problems. This situation  only raises the anxiety of students who may already suffer from testing anxiety and other disabilities and forces us to lose focus on the material we have studied. We are then forced  to switch our focus on accumulating points instead and rush against the clock which is stressful enough while also being recorded!!!!

Allowing students the option of Forward and Back on Exam builds the confidence of the student while also decreasing test taking anxiety with material they have rigorously studied for. It also helps to recheck their exams as they have been taught ,to make sure ALL questions are answered and helps to decrease their own mistakes while obtaining their deserved grades.
