Family Dollar Stores: Don't Ignore Historic Community

This petition made change with 125 supporters!

Ground was broken in our Historic Turner Station Community of 130 years to construct a Family Dollar Store via Boos Construction; a Florida Based Developer. The selected location is where the first Turner Station homes were built in 1888. This Developer has met with the Community on two occasions answering questions, promising jobs, perimeter beautification, security and a Historic Plaque placement, and most importantly continued Community involvement. In spite of the given promises and after several failed communications, Family Dollar Management personnel has not responded to our request to address our concerns at our monthly Community meetings.

Considering the Historical Status of Turner Station and our local and surrounding support network, we consider the lack of response as an out right disrespect toward the Community and it's on-going support efforts. Our County Government state and local is fully involved with the Community to include police, firefighters, elected officials, health professionals as well as surrounding businesses. They are present at all of our Community meetings and available for major Community Events upon request This disrespect needs to stop before the doors open for business.

Regional Directors Heather Briganti ( ) and David Fillingim ( 508 - 269-2004 ) have reiterated promises to attend Community Meetings via staff members of Family Dollar that have yet to come to fruition. Our concerns are more than warranted to be addressed by your Executive personnel status in correlaion with the Family Dollar / Dollar Tree Business Profile and Policies of your organization. We look forward to your response to our most important concerns with an effective resolution.
