The universal health care bill seeks to provide equal access to quality and affordable health services for ALL Filipinos; however, the possibility of wider access to healthcare is hindered after the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) slashed the program’s PHP30 billion budget to PHP50 million. Without enough funding, medical professionals would not be able to use the health facilities available due to the lack of equipment.
