Chelsey Nicol started this petition to Healthcare

Hi everyone! I am gathering as much support and evidence to take to my school faculty to have our tattoo/piercing policy at Luthern School of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri amended. I am starting this petition to show the support the community has for tattoos/piercings in the workplace. Times are changing and as the next generation of healthcare professionals are flooding the work force, I and many others, believe it is time that nursing school programs amend the policy like many hospitals and healthcare facilities have. If you are not working in the healthcare industry and are not bothered or offended by your nurse, doctor, etc having visible tattoos/piercings, you work in the healthcare industry and have visible tattoos/piercings or have a friend/family member in this situation then this is the petition for you! Every signature and share makes a difference! Thank you for taking the time to read/sign/share this! Also, if you work at a facility who has recently had their tattoo/piercing policy amended, please email me at chelsey.nicol@student.swic.edu!

Below is one of many great articles about a study done showing the effect of health care workers with visible tattoos and piercings.
