Increase US Healthcare Workers Pay

Increase US Healthcare Workers Pay
With the minimum wage increase, unemployment payments, and fast food restaurants paying $14 or higher an hour, healthcare workers are questioning why stay in this field. Healthcare workers face more stress, harder work, longer hours, and they are already suffering from extreme staffing shortages. What happens when no one wants to join or stay in healthcare? For almost a decade the United States has faced critical nursing shortages and is expected to continue in the coming years. CNAs are some of the hardest working and least appreciated staff in healthcare, with their pay remaining below poverty level. This is unacceptable! All risk and no reward….remains true for nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, and other hardworking healthcare workers. Frontline healthcare workers have faced hardships during the COVID-19 pandemic and should receive a salary adequate for those who risk their own health, safety, and the safety of their family to care for everyone else. It’s is time to demand pay increases for ALL healthcare workers!
