The Health Servuce in Ireland refer to staff not attending for work as staff absenteeism.

Absenteeism is defined as staff staying away from work without good reason.

This does not reflect why ill healthcare staff do not attend for work and is negative and demoralising terminology to be using.

Help us to request that HSE change this to a more appropriate term such as staff illness
