Corianne Neuman started this petition to HEALTH CANADA

Just like cigarettes, vapes and marijuana, alcohol has many health risks that impact our health and health care system.  Young adults (sometimes children) begin using alcohol and they are not aware of the risks.

Many Canadians have been effected by alcohol and the devastation it causes to a person who uses or over indulges in alcohol.

Alcohol causes many types of health problems such as; liver, heart and brain damage.

According to the Canadian Institute For Health Information:

In 2002 the estimated alcohol related harm costs in Canada was 14 BILLION DOLLARS, approximately 3.3 BILLION DOLLARS was direct health care costs.

In 2015-2016  over 56,000 Canadians were hospitalized entirely because of Alcohol.

Alcohol is the third world wide factor for death and disability.

Alcohol is highly addictive and needs more awareness starting with the companies producing any alcoholic beverage product that has been socially accepted for decades.  My goal is to bring awareness and have alcohol producers provide information on their labels as to to the physical and mental health impacts the use of alcohol may cause.

If you or someone you know has been effected by alcohol and believe in creating awareness.

Please sign and share.
