Hey everybody, I'm calling on the people of Newberry county and college. Yesterday, during the State of the Union Address, President Biden condemned masks and stated that most of America can now walk around "maskless" because of the American peoples strength and courage to withstand and fight this pandemic for the last 2 years. With over 75% of the campus being vaccinated I believe that its time to go back to normal. California has dealt with their mask mandate as well. I believe that the great people of this college should have the right to decide whether or not they want to wear cloth over their mouths. We are one of the only schools still pushing masks everywhere on campus at all times. Limestone College lifted there mandate earlier this year.  I believe it is only fair that if the rest of the world can move on, then the good people of this town ought' to be able to move on as well. Let's go back to seeing each others smiling faces and pearly whites! 

I hope that you will throughly look through the pros and cons to lifting this mandate. The class of 2021,2022, 2023, 2024 have been through enough change and issues. I think that the kick back to reality could drastically help our student body and increase the moral of our campus. I highly believe that this is past due time and our students will heavily appreciate it!
