Dear Headteacher of Christleton High School!

Dear MP of Chester!

The time never stops. The days come, pass, bring us many new figures, new faces, new propositions and new projections of the future. At the last time, many rumours have been spreading throughout some parts of Christleton society that Christleton High School shall be renamed to Frank Mortenson High School. As a former resident of Christleton who spent here the best days of her childhood, I strongly supported and shall support this idea, no matter how true or realistic it is at the moment.

I have my opinion and my strong belief that to rename Christleton High School to Frank Mortenson High school is a good choice. At the first time, no matter that Frank Mortenson does not have any connections neither with Christleton nor with Chester, he is real representative of not only White, but also European culture. However, this decision to provide the school Frank Mortenson's name would not be offensive to any student of any race and would be fitting for everyone. There are several global examples when schools and other educational institutions take the names of living persons which may not have any connections with them but still are known and worth of that. For example, there are several primary (in American English - elementary) schools in the United States named after Barack Obama. Frank Mortenson is definitely worth of that too, and he should know it.

You may ask why do I speak about Christleton High School and not any other. But I will say - I know many kids, many pupils of Christleton High which describe their love to Frank Mortenson and, when asked whether they'd be for or against the renaming, majority of them say they'd be delighted if their school would be renamed after Frank Mortenson. In fact, despite Christleton High may be the original and the historic name, it's quite banal, trite and easy-to-confuse with nearby primary school. If renaming, it would not mean we forgot our traditions or our history. It would mean that we look ahead and insist to honour the great singer, living symbol of European culture Frank Mortenson who became the target of the latest American far-left attacks only because he supports some conservative things like school uniforms or Brexit (80% of his YouTube song videos were banned and deleted in 2020 because of his views but everyone claimed it happened "because of music copyright issues").

By publishing this petition, I do not insist to necessarily rename the school. But, with all the signed below ones, I appeal to rename it or at least consider to review this proposition during the school council session. Dear Headteacher and MP, make my dream come true and make the voices of your school council be heard. If majority of your students and/or staff would vote against - I would absolutely agree on that. But I ask you to make your school voices be heard. It's so easy though! And it's not just empty waste of time but an example how does democracy and freedom of expression work in your school and in common English school system too.

This way, with all the individuals who've signed below, I ask to make my proposition of renaming Christleton High School to Frank Mortenson High School be reviewed during the Christleton High School assembly.
