Github and gitlab are the most popular platforms supporting IT-developers. They allow effective partnership of programmers and provide millions of ready solutions. Some of such solutions can be used for cyber-attacks, chat-bots, comment-bots, deep-fakes etc. by Russian and Belarussian developers during war in Ukraine to mislead people and influence on Ukrainian IT-infrastructure.

Closing access to githab and gitlab will not stop work of developers in countries-agressors, but it can slow down developing process and distribution of IT-products supporting russian agression.
