My daughter is currently at secondary school and has been made to take out her clear tiny nose stud. The school states that this is in there school uniform policy rules. I feel that these children aren't robots and shouldn't be controlled on how they want to look or how they want to express themselves. I think they should have rules for facial piercings but not rule them out completely, example- no hoops as this is a health and safety hazard and no gold or coloured studs. I think if they wore a clear stud it will be descreet. My child has been left upset that she's been made to take her nose stud out and why should she be made to feel that way when it doesn't effect her education or any other persons education at school? My child has every right to have a piercing on her own body and had it done as a birthday present so Is now very upset! I think these rules need to 100% be changed as this is nothing to do with being school uniform!!
my daughter is at Patcham high school but this is happening all over the schools!
