In Australia contemporary politics has failed us. A political lack of decency and honesty is placing people and life at risk. A lack of meaningful action on climate change is failing us, our health, children, grandchildren, the economy and the state of nature.  Continued climate change denialism, excuses, poor management and an insincere pretence of actions on climate change has equated to an act of negligence by the Australian Government. The Australian Government is failing its duty of care to the people, nation and the world. Climate change is undeniable. It is inexcusable for the Australian Government to not be taking immediate and sincere action on climate change.

We the people of Australia and the world request the Queen of the Commonwealth; Elizabeth II use her sovereign power to ensure that meaningful and necessary action to prevent and mitigate climate change is taken by the Australian Government.

The Governor General is the Queen’s representative. We request that the Queen insist the Governor General is required to ensure action on climate change is being properly managed by the Australian Federal Government.

We request the Queen use her power as Head of State to dismiss the Governor General should he fail to ensure meaningful and necessary action on climate change is being implemented without delays or misrepresentation by the Australian Government.

We request that the Queen appoint a Climate Change Envoy for Australia in consultation with the global scientific community.

We request that the Climate Change Envoy keep check and hold the Australian Government accountable for taking actions on climate change.

We must work together using reason, decency and honesty to prevent the looming disaster of irreparable climate change and mass extinction.
