DSC80 is one of the 6 core lower-division Data Science courses offered by the HDSI department. It is perhaps the most important one of them all since it is the final lower-division cornerstone that a DSC student must fulfill before branching out to upper-division courses and electives. It is an imperative prerequisite to courses such as DSC100, CSE150A, CSE151A, CSE158, and so on. For those of us that are taking DCS30 right now, enrolling DSC80 in Winter 2022 is a natural continuation in order for us to further sharpen our skills and knowledge. Then, if it were out of enrollment concerns that the department decides not to offer DSC80, we would have to show them that we are here for this course and we are more than prepared to sign up for it.
