We have purchased flats from HDIL at Premier Residences, Kurla West and were supposed to get possession in December 2010. Many of us have paid up the full amount as per agreement and the exorbitant maintenance charges @ Rs.7 per Sq.ft for 6 months lumpsum and 6 months as post dated cheques. In spite of taking the money they are now refusing to give possession. They are calling up the individual flat owners and demanding additional money on the pretext of fungible area. They are refusing to let us visit our flats. This is inspite of the fact that 100% of the work has been completed and many people have been given possession and are staying at HDIL Premier residencies. This is apart from the fact that HDIL has not given any of the facilities promised by their salesperson at the time of sale of the flats and in the brochures. They are refusing to abide by the agreement, which incidentally has been prepared by themselves and is weighed heavily in their favour.
Now whom do we approach as the Government agencies are turning a blind eye towards their activities. How long can the media, law makers and Judiciary remain silent regarding the loot of HDIL & other builders
Will the consumers ever feel safe in such a situation.
