There should be a shelter in almost every town . People pay enough property taxes . Animals need a decent shelter . Please build a shelter for them .

I got my cat here 11 years ago. It’s a shame to see what’s become of the shelter.

I grew up in Alexandria NJ where the spca is located, and saw throughout out my whole young life how poorly the animals where treated, and the crappy conditions. Also I know a lot of people miss it in the community, as well as the thrift store that was located on premise that helped fund animal supplies.
It’s a great establishment that needs to be open back up for the community and desperately needs 100% new blood/management .

Hunterdon Humane has not fullfilled it's mission as a 501c3 charity for more than 3 years. It hasn't had a full voting Board, proper supervision, a vet or any other qualifying terms to maintain it's 501c3 status. THERE HAS been someone living there, perhaps money drawn from their accounts. perhaps used as a kennel. Their status as a 501c3 organization should be recinded.
