Payton Brumlow was recently suspended because of a “rumor”. She warned her friends and family about a school shooting and it traveled the world across social media. Since the shooting didn’t occur, the school administration referenced it as a rumor. The message wasn’t sent during school hours or on school grounds. The most the school is allowed to do legally is set up a parent conference.
