This is important for many reasons. It is a violation of these inmates civil rights. Just because these men are in prison it does not mean that they are animals and they should not be treated as such. As Hays State prison continue to have inmates on lock down, half feed them, take away the only connection they have to their loved ones, restrict them from going to the store and so much more, this is only creating a BIGGER problem. We all know that there are alot of problems in the prison system. It is time to work together, bridge the gap and let the community work with the prison to create change. It is time for officers to STOP lying about what is really going on inside the prison walls. Too many people have already died and we are afraid that more will die if we do not do something about this situation and we need to do something now.
