To Whom it May Concern: Haworth 2020 Senior's

I Dawson Williston, Senior of 2020 class, and Valedictorian  would like to address the Haworth community, Teachers, Principals, Superintendent ,and Parents. I come to you, and all who have attended and supported our community, and school system. I am honored to say that I have spent most of my life in the  Haworth School system. This is not only a school system this is family to all students that have provided dedication,Love, Support, to ensure with our Experienced teachers and community pride that we have the perfect community where they have "ALWAYS" provided  a nurturing educational experience.

I understand that due to unforeseen circumstances has put a stress on our community as well as the entire world as one. We should pull together as a community in times like this and brainstorm how to do Senior Week, and all traditional Senior celebrations including Baccalaureate, Senior Prom, Awards Banquets. These children have spent twelve years preparing for this one hour of recognition. If this has to be postponed to a later date in mid or end of june to better meet the needs of us students then that is our vote. We can also see if Idabel High School or Broken Bow sports complex would possibly allow us to use their gymnasium. So we can social distance. But when it comes to graduation , I am speaking for our 2020 class and requesting our community  please help vote for " NO DRIVE THRU GRADUATION." We request a Traditional Graduation just as all Haworth Alumni’s have had since the early 1940's. " So to have something special like graduation minimized to a drive-thru would feel insensitive ." Due to the circumstances beyond anyone’s  control. We have children not getting the education  or help needed to complete work due to lack of technology, or parental support . It already shows not only unemployment rate is at an all time high, but so is child abuse during this pandemic. Put yourself in a teachers position , they have been our parents,Best Friends,Mentors, counselors and educational idols. I cannot even imagine the feeling the teachers have not being able to physically see the children they know are abused, struggling, or hungry, that just need a hug to reassure they will be safe and have a safe place to come tomorrow . We are Family at Haworth Public School, Please take a stand and stand #TOGETHER. VOTE GRADUATION LATER DATE SENIOR'S LIMITED GUESTS AND SENIORS ON STAGE TOGETHER FOR LAST TIME. ONE SEAT APART.

Thank You for your Consideration,

Dawson Conner Williston,Valedictorian Senior 2020 HHS
