This week has been a sad week for a couple of my neighbors as they have lost their beloved dog, Bailey. Someone hit her with a truck on River street near Maple street on Saturday 10/5. Her injuries were so severe, a shattered pelvis and leg bones detached from her spine, that they had to put her to sleep. She was a wonderful sweet dog, she will be missed. That being said, a few of us have come together to discuss the fact that we need either more stop signs or a bump on River street because people have been driving way too fast and are not paying attention to the road, making it unsafe for our kids and pets. The signs stating the speed limit are not easily seen so they do not serve us well enough.
