The Papa’aloa gym has been almost entirely unmaintained for years and has broken windows, paint peeling off, holes in the roof and we are now told, termites. During a community meeting we were informed that the deteriorated building needs to be demolished but there are no plans to replace it. The gym is the only public recreation facility in the area and also serves the community with a wide variety of other social programs. We must work together to advocate for a replacement!
