Value Victims of Sex Harassment & Assault: Rename Honolulu Airport!

In 2017, Hawai'i named its main airport after an all-powerful man who a number of women described being raped by. This was a huge mistake, and is a political crime against women. Celebrating an accused serial rapist in such a big way discourages victims from coming forward about their own assault and contributes to Hawaiʻi's "culture of silence."

Do you or Hawai'i support rape? If not, reward bravery with your bravery. Join women like Annelle Amaral singing the truth. A new day for women is near: “Inouye had been accused and I have said there were nine women I talked to who had told me stories of molestation and rape," Amaral said.

"In 1992, (former state representative) Amaral was also head of the women's caucus when the Inouye-Lenore Kwock scandal erupted. (Inouye’s) hairdresser accused the Senator of using his power to have sex with her. Amaral supported Kwock and revealed nine other anonymous women called her with similar stories and asked for confidentiality. The women also refused to file reports and U.S. Senate Ethics panel dropped its investigation.”

Join us in standing in solidarity with Annelle, Lenore, and all victims of sexual harassment and assault by demanding that the Hawaiʻi State Legislature rename Honolulu Airport. #RenameHonoluluAirport #TimesUpHawaii #MeToo #ValueVictims
