As a resident of one of the most amazing places on earth I have become increasingly concerned with the safety of our state and its communities. I have seen over the past 17 years the ineffectiveness and inefficiency in the handling of our homeless. We have one of the largest homeless problems in our country and I want it solved in a healthy and sustainable way that allows all of us to have a voice.
1. I want the Governor and state lawmakers to establish a new organization and/or interagency task force to deal with homelessness, the clearing of, and environmental decontamination of areas of concern permintaly, through immediate action, long term maintenance, and continued, permanent enforcement.
2. I want state government to reach out to local communities for legislative solutions and ideas that will then be formulated into 3-5 optional courses of action to be voted into law by the residence of this great state. It will be the new organization/task force that will regularly enforce these new laws and regulations.
