Have the 2018 BC Outpatient Lab Form (and all future forms) Released in EMR Formats

Yes, the BC Outpatient Lab form is being tweaked and released! Even if you don't use that form much, forms used by family doctors in BC are out of hand! They change too often, ask for too much information and are distributed on paper, non-fillable pdf or with rejected old forms faxed back! I find that this delays and complicates patient care.
The easiest initial remedy to this sad state is to have new forms released in EMR formats. This means a new form is ready to be integrated directly into MedAccess, Osler, Oscar, Intrahealth, Accuro, Wolf, ect.... Then time and money will be saved for the whole system and patients will receive better care.
If we show that this improvement is important to all BC family doctors, those who write forms (MOH and Health Authorities in particular) can understand how their small investment (~$3000 for all EMRs per form) can have a huge benefit. More forms in EMR format improves accuracy of referrals and saves patients' and GPs' time.
And really, if MOH (Ministry of Health) wants us to use EMR's more, isn't releasing forms on paper a bit backward?
If you do this small act of signing a petition, we can unify our voice to change how a provincial form is distributed AND how all future forms are delivered - even local forms and specialist forms.
