Have Mountain Lakes pass a resolution in support of the Green Amendment

Have Mountain Lakes pass a resolution in support of the Green Amendment
Why this petition matters
My name is Margaret Berei, and I am a junior at Mountain Lakes High School. I have grown up in a world that is visibly warming and where the headlines are nearly all doom and gloom when it comes to the environment. As environmental problems around us worsen and become more visible with increasingly frequent natural disasters and power outages, we, the people, need more protection. When private or public entities infringe upon our basic human rights to clean air and water, we, the people, need more protection. The Green Amendment protects the right to clear air, pure water, a stable climate, and a healthy environment for all people and for years to come.
New York, Pennsylvania, and Montana already have enacted these game-changing amendments. Our very own Assemblywoman Aura Dunn (R) is a cosponsor of this bill. Cape May Point, Burlington County, and more have already passed local resolutions in support of the amendment. Now it's our turn. Mountain Lakes must do its part to help pass this constitutional amendment into our state constitution. Sign this petition to show our Borough Council that residents care about the Green Amendment and support a Mountain Lakes resolution.
