The Hastings District Council has reprimanded our beloved sign and given us until April 23rd to take it down. The heritage building Massive Music School is located in has vague guidelines on signage that allows the council to reprimand signs more or less at whim. We believe our sign does fit the aesthetic of the building and our community is very upset we've been ordered to remove it. We believe every child should have the right to walk under a guitar playing dinosaur with a moustache on the way to their music lessons!

Please help Massive Music keep our beloved sign by signing the petition. We're a new business trying to provided a much needed space and service for our local community. Redesigning our branding, remaking signs and applying for resource consent is a cost that could prove business breaking at this early stage of our business. We understand heritage buildings need to be protected with legislation nonetheless we believe the council has over stepped the mark here and is putting a new central business district business into unnecessary financial hardship.
