We wish to voice our opposition to the attempt to close The Bikers Shop merely because the landlord of the property ( 32 Western Road, St Leonard’s on Sea, TN37 6RR) wishes to convert the property, which has been a shop for the last 75 years, into a residential unit. The Biker Shop is the only retail shop left in the road and is almost an institution among the large motorcycle community within East Sussex. 
The shop not only provides a much needed service, but it, along with its owner, is well known for offering help and advice to not only experienced motorcyclists, but also to those who are more novice and who need the help. 
The shop has been in situ for over eight years and has won prizes for its physical presentation and has also had write-ups in National magazines. 
The forced closure of this business would be a great loss not only to the motorcycle community, but also to St Leonard’s as a whole: an area that needs shops like this. 
Please do not let one persons greed be St Leonard’s loss!
