You what I can't stand? People. More specifically; those sad-sack, over-protective, brain-dead, neurotically sweet politically-correct sociopaths who could twist something as pure and sweet as a My Little Pony into something "Offensive."

Many of you might not know her, but Derpy Hooves is a fan icon, to the point where the creators made her cameo in every episode (Since her appearance, in the FIRST episode.) and finally gave her a speaking role in season two. Such was her fame, that fans rejoiced and laughed when she was finally catapulted into the spotlight.

BUT, of course, we can't have that, can we?

Some nondescript internet layabout decided that Derpy's name, silly expression, and voice were a "Blatant," stab at "Disabled people." That this adorable Pony and her equally adorable mannerisms "Made fun," of anything at all is borderline psychotic. SHE'S A PONY. IN A SHOW ABOUT LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, AND TOLERANCE. Yet this one person, who gathered followers of equally superfluous sensitivity and masters of free time, guilt-tripped the creators into changing Derpy's trademark (And beloved.) identity.

Hypocritical, isn't it?

Yes, it is. What's worse, is that I can all but assure you that if you had a so-called "Disabled person," watch the episode (Season Two, Episode Fourteen, Two Minutes and zero seconds in.) they wouldn't care. They'd say "Teehee, Derpy, you're so funny." Just as I said, "Teehee, Derpy, you're so funny."

Yes, at 23 years old, I teehee.

They'd eat it up. Why? BECAUSE SHE'S ADORABLE. She's silly, she'd ditzy, she's DERPY. And she deserves more than what she's received, which is being criticized for being different, and not just another "Whee, all is fluff in the land of Ponyville," extra that no one bothers to remember.

Sincerely, me.

Derpy is a loved character by everyone who watches the show. She is not meant to be offensive. There are several other characters (Spongebob, Patrick) that would make a lot more sense to be considered offensive to disabled. In fact, it would probably make disabled children feel better, having a character they can relate to. Derpy means a lot to many people who watch My Little Pony: Friendship is magic.

Because Derpy is awesome!

She isn't offensive, she may be different than the other ponies, but she has a job and she functions just fine, and taking her out because of her name and her eyes is the true insult. Changing someone because there different is wrong.

I've only recently got into the fandom, and the more i get immersed into the community, the more i want to become a part of it. I believe Derpy is a huge staple in that community. Take her away, and you taking away little things about this show that make it a whole, that make it unique. I want to save Derpy cause she's funny, enjoyable to have on screen, and she shows that the creators are listening to the fanbase and respecting their love for the show. We all love you Derpy Hooves, and we want you to stick around
