What Harvard is doing is tantamount to censorship, and censorship has no place on a college campus.

Conversations among friends are always ridiculous. Their privacy has been wrongfully invaded. The private University may not have the same guidelines as in the constitution, but ideally (and hopefully) they must at least value the importance and purpose of the freedom of speech. Without it, our society falls and the opportunity for raw debate and conversation is censored. If a public figure like Kathy Griffin can hold up a bloody prop head of the United States President to the public eye as a joke, then these students are entitled to privately joke about whatever, regardless of how "taboo" it is- as long as they are not committing any crimes nor threatening to. They are simply resharing and discussing controversial topics and taboo subjects.
