CHANGE THE BAN ON AN EXTRA EARRING AT HLC

At HLC, girls are banned from wearing an extra cartilage piercing alongside their two lobe piercings in their ears as this “doesn’t look smart”. This has been a school rule for a long while, however we think that it’s time for a change. We’re now in 2017, and getting a new cartilage piercing is a normal and very common thing for school girls to do. They can be worn discreetly, and having a “tiny dot” on your upper ear does not look offensive or untidy. Meanwhile in school, pupils are allowed to wear colourful sparkly lanyards around their necks with dozens of keyrings hanging out off them. In our opinion, this is actually messy and unnecessary, but the school allow it. Surely a small discreet cartilage earring should be allowed? Please sign our petition.
