Many Trinidad residents already run out of water in the fall due to creeks, springs, and wells drying up. They end up buying water. I live next to the Trinidad Rancheria -- where myself and neighbors already ration water in the summer and fall. The city has done no adequate testing in the fall when water levels go down or -- considering when we go into a few years of drought. This city of Trinidad gets it's water from the headwaters of Luffenholtz Creek. Putting a huge hotel on the local watershed will impact greatly everyone -- putting a huge stress on the current water shed availability. Also It's already difficult to park to go the the local USPS and grocery store in town during the tourist season. An extra hundred cars in a very small community will make it almost impossible for locals to use the town's services....most who are senior citizens. Will all these seniors, many with handicaps living in town be forced to get McKinleyville PO Boxes as they won't be able to park close by in Trinidad. This Rancheria hotel project is asking way too much from the Trinidad community residents for the Rancheria's and Hyatts hotel profits.

When we bought a home in Trinidad six years ago we looked around and thought the town needed changes now we realize it just needs to stay the same.

Unfair advantage being given to a small group of people. Concern about restricted access to areas that are meant to be public. Infrastructure not in place to support a Large casino/hotel. More public input is needed.

The impact of a high rise hotel on our pristine coast would be detrimental. The Coastal Commission must consider so many details regarding its effect on wildlife, water sources, sewage and runoff and traffic. The community must have local meetings to discuss these issues.

I am concerned about the impact on the view of the coastline from And around Trinidad because of the proposed hotel size placement. Also the tribe has not yet demonstrated that there is adequate drinking water to service the proposed hotel.
