Why do People with Disabilities get penalized for getting married?

Persons with disabilities deserve the “American Dream” as ALL Americans do. According to Amendment 14 (adopted 1868) Citizenship Defined; Sect. 1 Definition of Citizenship “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws”. The Declaration of Independence even states, “All men are created equal”. Yet policies, laws & regulations PROVE otherwise. Marriage is a union of two individuals, it does not hold prejudice, judge or punish the persons who are to be united. Why do Persons with disabilities get penalized when they get married? If a Person with a disability gets married they can lose ALL their benefits; i.e. cash, medical, & food stamps (a benefit in some states). Is not the Social Security Administration Disability Program funded by taxes collected from Americans? Therefore is not a Person without a disability marrying a Person with a disability already supporting their future Spouse? If a person without a disability gets married one is not stripped of their job/career. How is this action of taking away possibly the only income a Person with a disability has American? Does this not go against the very fundamentals that built the foundation of Our country?
Like Jefferson so writ in the Declaration of Independence, “ We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness”. Is this not a land of Liberty, Freedom, Democracy, & Justice? Then where is the freedom allowing a Person with a disability to marry? Where is the justice for a Person with a disability? Where is true democracy demonstrated? If they marry, you, the Government of the American People, punish them by stripping them of possibly the only income they can obtain.
Prove to ALL Americans with and without a disability that ALL ARE EQUAL by putting into Law that Persons with a disability can marry WITHOUT being stripped of their benefits.
Single person with a disability cannot have an asset total more than $2,000; Married total combined asset value cannot be more than $3,000
**These totals include: bank accounts (checking, savings, etc.); vehicles; cash on hand; and any belongings of value.
Any monthly income over $85 cuts into Supplemental Security Income (SSI) which is strictly government issued moneys
If I got married guaranteed automatic loss of SSI income, Food Stamps & medical
If I got married; non-disabled Spouse must turn in pay subs monthly so that the Social Security Administration (SSA) can determine what I’m allowed to receive the following month
