Since HHS2 Administration seems to proceed with the planned increase in tuition fees, we would like to highlight on the social and economic discomfort which will accompany such an increase.
The parents' ability to bear with the situation has reached a line in the sand. Most of us have 2, 3, or even 4 kids in school and an increment of about 750,000 L.L is just unbearable.
We believe that teachers should be honored and given their rights, but the school can always find other ways to fund this increase and implement the Salary Law #46. It is the school obligation to fix their yearly budget in a way that suits all: parents, teachers, and administration without depending mainly on the yearly increase in tuition fees.
We believe that we aren't paying a small tuition fee compared to other schools in Beirut and no drastic improvement and enhancement is being noticed. That is leading many parents to wonder about where the money is being spent.
For all of these reasons and many others, we, the parents of HHS2 strongly OBJECT any increase in tuition.
