Ever since the construction and reduction of lanes began on Austin Boulevard the amount of traffic along Long Beach Road between Austin and Warwick has increased exponentially. With this increase in traffic, there is a significant delay for those cars needing to turn left towards Harbor Isle.  It is inconvenient, allows only 1-2 cars per light cycle, and just leads to many idling engines waiting to turn.  Not to mention backed up traffic winds up on the train tracks.  What I am proposing is a left turn arrow be installed at the Long Beach Rd./Warwick street light for vehicles turning west on Warwick, and the signal be extended approximately 10 extra seconds to allow for residents and visitors to turn in a fair and timely fashion. Please help our town out by signing this petition and asking for a turn signal! Thank you!
