During this Covid pandemic, our mental health is collectively deteriorating every day. One of the few things that has helped me and other parents in the community stay healthy and optimistic has been the idea of some outdoor summer normalcy returning to our lives with the opening of Cranberry Cove. Our children have been feeling the impact of Covid-19 since schools closed in March and are facing more change and loss in the upcoming school year. There is no more normal and budget cuts within the school district guarantee that the fall will bring the same loss and uncertainty as the spring did. Opening Cranberry Cove would give the children (and parents) back a little slice of normal.

The recreation committee has come up with a thorough and thought out plan for Cove operations that the NEW Chair of the Board (Not Laura) dismissed hearing during the recent meeting on 6/30. There is a plan that would have been presented that would run the Cove at minimal loss and even has potential to finally make a small profit.

Cranberry Cove belongs to the taxpayers and should be made available to us. Sign in support to show the board we as a town want access to the summer tradition that is Cranberry Cove. Let's show them we can make the decisions as the adults we are to utilize Cranberry Cove safely during this Pandemic.
