The aim of this petition is to amend the changes made to the assessment schedule of stage two chemical engineering students at Newcastle University, taking into account the preferences of the students.

The changes to the assessment schedule have been made late in the year and therefore the students have not been given adequate notice to change the week in which the assessments occur. The changes made also moved the assessments to the buffer week, removing a week meant to ensure students are content with their understanding of the first semester's content before moving on to the content of semester two.

These changes further demonstrate how the department has mismanaged various aspects of organising the stage 2 cohort and their course.
