Welfare to fair well - Wrongly reviewed Centrelink Recipients

0 have signed. Let’s get to 500.

If you are an Australian Centrelink welfare recipient who has received an income review which you think is incorrect or has been wrongly assessed, please sign this petition.

Created as a means for those unable to make sense of recent income assessments made by Centrelink, this petition hopes to illustrate the wide number of Australian's affected by this.

Over the 2016 Christmas period many Centrelink recipients, past and present, have been contacted and informed of debt owing from 'incorrect' reporting in the last 5 years. There are also those who have had this take place outside of this nominated period.

To contest this debt recipient's are being asked to lodge reviews with Centrelink with the provision of documentation. Many people are coming forward demonstrating issues with this assessment and review process, while many are also passing through the system. There are many who are unable to provide documentation or because of their social situation, lack of resources are unable to cope with the stress this causes mentally and financially and are therefore being forced to repay the debt.

In signing this petition you are conveying the need for an external review of Centrelink and Government policy pertaining to the incorrect assessment and collection of debt off of welfare recipients. In numbers we can highlight the issues that have been taking place within this system.

Please only sign if you have a genuine issue .
