Petition to Secretary of State for Health: Hands Off Complementary Therapies
This petition had 6,453 supporters
The Department of Health in England has commissioned NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) to revise their guidelines on supportive and palliative care in adults. We have submitted our petition to NICE and we are now calling for you to help us petition the government.
This is a hugely important issue; most people have known a friend or family member who has died or is suffering from cancer.
Wendy Finke PRM (Professional Reflexology Chair) says "Very early in my career as a Reflexologist I had the privilege to be asked to treat the mother of a friend who was suffering terminal cancer. There is no doubt in my mind that the treatments helped enormously, she told me that the only time she was pain free was on the days that I treated her. Because of this her quality of life was enhanced"
Complementary therapies are vital alternative, and we need your help to spread the word so we can take this to Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP with as strong an argument as is possible.
