Ben Macken started this petition to Hampshire County Council

I am a year 10 student at Robert May's School in Odiham, Hampshire. Recently it was announced that in September 2019 that some bus routes were to be scrapped, and students living less then 3 miles from the school would have to make their own way to school. However, the routes planned for students to walk are dangerous and long, meaning younger/disabled students, are at high risk from bullying, crime and injury, as the routes are through forests, across the M3 and A287, and dark, muddy, littered paths. Furthermore, parents will be responsible for taking their children if they are unable to walk; this is ridiculous as many parents have jobs, and Taxi fees are exorbitant. My goal is to get the Hampshire County Council to re-evaluate these budget cuts, as they have not considered the children they would be asking to walk, or the incredible stresses that they would be putting on parents.
