Persuade Hampshire County Council to retain school crossing patrols
This petition had 320 supporters
We, the undersigned, urge Hampshire County Council to maintain school crossing patrols at all costs, recognising their importance to local communities for road safety and for valuable social contact for the most vulnerable. Not only are worsening road conditions putting children at greater risk, but mental health illness in children is increasing, and the familiar 'lollipop' men and women provide reassurance that makes a positive contribution to mental wellbeing, quite apart from ensuring the road safety of Hampshire's children.
