Hamline's Food Resource Center has relied on the Americorps Vista program to staff a manager for the past three years. Americorps restricts institutions to a maximum of three years of staffing, which means this coming summer (July 2022 we will lose the FRC manager). Without this position, the FRC cannot continue running and providing free groceries to students. Signing this petition means you support Hamline Administration implementing a paid, full time staff position to accommodate this basic needs resource. Food access should be available for all students on campus, and removing it is unacceptable.
