A unique option for students should have a unique solution.

Secondary school students who have special needs should have teachers with the training needed to help these students gain the greatest possible benefit from their school years.
The wish of the Parkdale Secondary School students and families to stay in the school's present location should be granted.

The school sounds like it is doing a great job of helping students that need special schooling, so they can get a full richer education. If this is helping kids learn better in reading, math, science and much more then let's keep it going...

More and more kids need these schools and main stream school is not conditioned for these kids. The teachers aren't trained for these kids, and kids are mean, exposing these kids to these main stream schools would be a form of tourcher! I know first hand with my ASD son.

You cannot let these children fall through the cracks. They are our youth our future. Without out an education at this school they will all be lost in the cracks of society and will not grow up to be contributing members of society.

I have a special needs child. She did not have an opportunity to go to a school that could help her needs, we don't have one in Guelph.Had she had this opportunity she would be much more independent and understanding than she is. Keep this school open and afford opportunities to EVERYONE! Not just the general population, but the special needs population! They deserve better from the Board & Elected Officials.

I do not agree with closing local schools. Kids should be able to walk to their school, not have to take a bus.

I graduated from Parkview and if I was at another school I surely wouldn't have made it.

I have AD/HD and the small number of students made it easier to pay attention than I remember from middle school which had over 1,000 people.

We shouldn't blindly follow what old men do, but instead seek out what they sought out and only then can we find what they were looking for to begin with. - Old Karate Adage

When all the special ed kids are thrown in with everyone else and expected to do the same thing they will fail it's unfortunate.
