Revert Route 18 Waterdown Back To a reliable Scheduled format, HSR
Why this petition matters

I call on Hamilton Street Railway (HSR), the city of Hamilton and the transit director, Maureen Cosyn Heath to seriously consider reverting the Route 18 Waterdown bus route back to a RELIABLE Scheduled format.
Last September a decision was made to chang the route to an on demand format, and that will not work in Waterdown as it is a rapidly growing city, a diverse mix of people who relied on the abysmal schedule before to travel. The on demand system is a failure in Waterdown, busses take an hr to come, it has dropped people off way past their house, and doesn't have adequate connections to Aldershot Station a major hub to travel outside of Hamilton.
We demand that the route be reverted back to a reliable Scheduled format, that runs every half an hr, NOT A CLOCKWISE/COUNTERCLOCKWISE schedule, with new routes that accommodate the growing city of Waterdown that includes connections down Dundas street towards Burlington, and service that runs later than 8pm on weekdays and PROPER weekday service including Sundays. We will not accept anything less.
The city of Hamilton should talk to the citizens of Waterdown as well to implement this improved route so that we are able to travel outside of this town, a lot of us cannot drive or have access to a vehicle and rely on public transportation here. Do the right thing and fix Route 18 Waterdown.
